2018 Talent Show Guidelines

5/2/2018

Your Audition.......
  • must exhibit some kind of talent
  • Must not be longer than 3.5 minutes in length
  • Must be school appropriate
  • Must be prepared
  • Will be scored (not by Mrs. Folsom) with a rubric
Students....
  • Must not make any changes to their act once they have auditioned.
  • Must rehearse their act on their own time
  • Must bring and purchase their own music
  • Must bring a CD, flash drive, or zip drive to the audition or email it to Folsom before the audition, if your singing/playing/dancing to a song. Mp3s are best.
  • Must hand in the lyrics to Folsom directly before the audition for those singing, or those dancing to a song with lyrics.
  • Must leave a copy of printed music with Folsom.
  • Must attend the dress rehearsal
Special note:
If you are planning to sing, then YOU MUST use the karaoke version of the song on cd, or have live accompaniment. Music with lead vocals is NOT acceptable. YOU may NOT SIGN without accompaniment unless the song is usually performed in the manner. ALL accompaniment music must be purchased by the student and then burned to a CD, or saved to a flash drive.
I LOVE YOU ALL SO, SO MUCH!!! Know that if you don't get chosen, you are STILL AMAZING! Auditions are important and there's always something that can be learned from them!!
