2. Left hand on top
3. Cover the tone holes completely - Leaks make squeaks!
4. Use the same breath that you would use to move the flame of a candle. easy, warm, steamy
5. Tonguing: Say "too" on the higher notes and "doo" on the lower notes.
6. Sit up straight
7. Learn how to read music
8. Practice
Belt Testing
1. RHYTHM- The song needs to be rhythmically correct.
2. FINGERINGS – You need to be comfortable enough with the fingerings that you don’t have to stop to make corrections.
3. GOOD SOUND - Pitch should be on or very close
4. TONGUING - Use the tongue to play the different rhythms, not your individual breath.
5. NOTE IDENTIFICATION - You need to be able to identify the notes that you are playing on the treble clef.
